(Ale upřímně, dokonce ani fakt, že studuju filmovou školu, neznamená, že miluju VŠECHNY filmaře. Boha, lidi, to by bylo šílený! Máte představu jak moc pošahaný můžou filmaři bejt? Máte představu jak příšerný je sledovat nějekej za**anej nudnej film ve škole, obklopený spícíma spolužákama... sami napůl spící, napůl blouznící, se srandovním pocitem, že jste se právě něčím sjeli a nemáte ani tušení, jak k tomu došlo????)

(But, honestly, even though I study film school, I don't love ALL filmmakers. Gosh, people, that would be crazy!!! Have you any idea how terrible some of them could be? Have you any idea how terrible it is, watching some f**king boring movie at school, surrounded by sleeping classmates... half asleep, half hallucinating, with the funny feeling that you just got high and you don't have any idea how????)

Jim jarmusch je Američan, s českými, německými a irskými kořeny. (Dokonce se tvrdí, že jméno "Jarmusch" má české kořeny. Já teda nevím, lidi... vy jo?) Narodil se v Akronu, Ohio, ale většinu života strávil v NY.
Jeho nejslavnější filmy jsou DEAD MAN s Johnnym Deppem v hlavní roli, Kafe a cigára, Ghost Dog: Cesta samuraje, Hranice ovládání...

Jim Jarmusch is an American, with Czech, German and Irish origins. (They even say that the name "Jarmusch" is of Czech origin. I don't have any idea, guys... do you?) He was born in Akron, Ohio, but has been living in NY for the most of his life.
His most famous movies are: the Dead man with amazing Johnny Depp playing main character, Coffee and Cigarettes, Ghost Dog, Limits of Control...

Je označován za nezávislého filmaře, což v zásadě znamená, že nespolupracuje s Hollywoodem a jeho filmy jsou tak trochu netradiční. Najdete v nich spousty divných lidí, jako černošského zabijáka-samuraje, který miluje holuby, anebo Indiána který zbožňuje bělošského básníka Williama Blakea. Jeho postavy mívají rovněž problémy s komunikací.

He was labelled "an independent filmmaker", which basically mean that he doesn't cooperate with Hollywood and his movies are kinda different. You can find a lot of strange people in them, like afroamerican samurai-killer, who loves pigeons or native american guy who loves white poet William Blake. His characters can also have  problems with communication.

Je jí sedmnáct, ale vypadá na dvanáct. Živí se prostitucí, prošla si drogovým peklem. Říká si Natascha a pochází z Německa. Její knihu vydalo v česku nakladatelství VOLVOX GLOBATOR. V německém originále Seelenficker vyšla kniha v nakladatelství Ubooks-Verlag v roce 2007. Anglický překlad jsem nenašla...

She is seventeen, but looks like she's twelve. Working as a prostitute, former drug-addict. She calls herself Natascha. Lives in Germany.  Her book was published by  VOLVOX GLOBATOR in Czech, by Ubooks-Verlag in Germany. I couldn't find any English translation...

Nezpovídá se. Prostě konstatuje.  Že ji naučil polykat nevlastní otec, aby její matka nepřišla na to, že Nataschu zneužívá. Drogy jí pomáhají soustředit se ve škole. A taky jí pomáhají přežít m*dání se zákazníky. Je v bludném kruhu, jako ostatně většina feťáků: abych mohla šlapat, beru drogy. Šlapu, abych si je mohla koupit. Beru je, protože díky nim necítím, jak chlapi m*dají moji duši.
Přitom není pitomá. Chce dodělat školu, chce si najít normální práci, chce nechat drog a být šťastná. Přemýšlí, jak je možný, že chtějí chlapi m*dat někoho kdo vypadá jako dítě. Přemítá, jak je možný, že to někdo dovolí. Ale děje se to. A děje se to právě jí.

She's not doing a confession. She's just telling you. That her stepfather teached her to swallow, so her mother couldn't find out that he's abusing Natascha. Drugs help her to concentrate at school. And also to survive while being f*cked by her customers.
She's in a vicious circle, just like majority of drug-addicts: I use drugs, so I can sell my body. I sell my body to buy drugs. Drugs help me not to feel how men f*ck my soul.
She's not stupid though. She wants to graduate from school, find a normal job, stop taking drugs and be happy. She's wondering why men want to f*ck woman that looks like a child. She's wondering how is it possible? Why is this allowed to happen? It still happens, though. And it's happening to her.

So You Think You Can Dance??? /// Myslis si ze umis tancit???

So You Think You Can Dance is american dance show, like singing contest American Idol, but with dancing. It's over now, and the winner is Lauren Froderman, lovely little blonde girl from Phoenix.

For me, watching even the last three episodes of the show, was amazing. I've never seen such routines, such ideas, such performances before. Well, back in Moscow I've seen a lot of brilliant russian dancers, but this is somehow different. Because it's a competition, contestants work with professional choreographers, and for every routine they have different choreographer, who comes with something extraordinary. I love the variety of styles coming together in a fascinating mix that makes your heart run faster. Dancers are literally flying, they are so full of energy, full of joy and the best thing is - you can get it from them. Joy and excitement. Best disease ever!

So You Think You Can Dance je americka tanecni show, neco jako soutez American Idol, ale tanecni. Soutez prave skoncila a vyhrala Lauren Froderman, roztomila mala blondynka z Phoenixu.

I kdyz jsem videla jen tri posledni dily souteze, bylo to pro me uzasny. Nikdy predtim jsem nevidela takovy styly, takovy napady, takova vystoupeni. Vlastne, v Moskve jsem videla dost vybornych ruskych tanecniku, ale tohle je nejak jiny. Je to soutez, takze soutezici pracuji s profesionalnimi choreografy a pro kazde vystoupeni (a kazdy typ tance) maji jineho choreografa, ktery vymysli neco neobycejnyho.
Miluju rozmanitost stylu, ktery se spojuji ve fascinujici mix co vam rozproudi krev v zilach. Tanecnici se doslova vznasi, jsou plni energie a radosti a nejlepsi na tom je, ze to od nich muzete chytit. Radost a nadseni. Nejlepsi choroba pod sluncem!

Tohle je podle me absolutni Laurenina spicka. Na tomhle vystoupeni uvidite, proc prave ona a nikdo jiny, vyhrala soutez a titul Nejoblibenejsi tanecnice Ameriky.

New world - new work /// Novy svet - nova prace

I came to U.S. because of a summer job. In fact, I came here to work as a door-to-door salesperson, independent dealer of educational books for kids and students. By the time I signed up for this, even by the time I got here and began my work, I had absolutely no clue that I'm the worst salesperson in the world. I mean, knocking at people's door is not as hard as it seems, as long as you don't meet many rude people. And I did this in Arkansas. It's South. People are friendly. And I'm the lucky owner of "the cutest accent you've ever heard", as I was told yesterday. Anyway, chatting with people was nice, but when it came to sales... I realized very soon that there's no way I can earn enough to even stay here until the end of the summer doing this.
There's also that funny thing about weather. It's hot in Arkansas. But that's not the worst thing - I kinda got used to the heat. Problem was the humidity. It's extremely high, sometimes it's even hard to breathe. I realized, that I desperately need to work inside - with an air-conditioner.
Fortunately, I was able to find another job, and now I work in a pizza restaurant and I'm looking forward to getting mu paycheck soon:)

Prijela jsem do Spojenych Statu kvuli letni brigade. Vlastne jsem sem prijela pracovat jako podomni prodejce, nezavisly dealer vzdelavacich knih pro deti a studenty. V dobe, kdy jsem se k tomuhle upsala, dokonce jeste v dobe kdy jsem prijela a zacala pracovat, jsem nemela ani stin podezreni. Fakt je ale ten, ze jsem ten nejhorsi prodejce na svete. Chci rict, samotne klepani na dvere neni tak tezke jak vypada, dokud nepotkate vylozene neprijemne lidi. Ja prodavala v Arkansasu. To je na Jihu. Lidi jsou pratelsti. A ja jsem stastny majitel "toho nejroztomilejsiho prizvuku co jste kdy slyseli", jak mi bylo receno vcera.
Zkratka a dobre, kecat s lidma bylo fajn, ale kdyz doslo na prodavani... Dost brzo jsem si uvedomila, ze pro me neni mozny si tomhle zpusobem vydelat ani tolik, abych mohla zustat v Americe do konce leta.
A pak je tu ta vec s pocasim. V Arkansasu je vedro. Ale to neni to nejhorsi - na horko jsem si tak nejak zvykla. Problem byla vzdusna vlhkost. Je fakt extremne vysoka, nekdy je tu tezky i dychat. Doslo mi, ze zoufale potrebuju pracovat uvnitr - s klimatizaci.
Nastesti jsem si nasla jinou praci a ted pracuju v pizzerii a tesim se, ze brzo dostanu vyplatu:)

I'm sorry for neglecting Russian and German (that I can speak as well), but I truly believe that most of people from all over the world know and learn English. which is basically the reason for English being an international language. huh?

OK, takze odted se budu fakt snazit psat kazdy prispevek v anglictine i cestine. Omlouvam se za zanedbavani rustiny a nemciny (ktere ovladam rovnez), ale skutecne verim tomu, ze vetsina lidi v dnesnim svete umi nebo se uci anglicky. coz je v podstate hlavni duvod, proc je anglictina mezinarodni jazyk. nebo ne?

Hey there from Conway, Arkansas

Now that I'm in U.S. I decided to start writing my entries also in English. Yesterday I had a nice chat with my friend Stephen, who suggested me to translate some of my short stories from Czech to English. In fact, he told me that there's probably more English speaking guys than Czech speaking in the world. Which is obvious, but I hadn't think about it that much... Until yesterday.
Well. Right now I'm doing some research for my future movie. I'm trying to find something about wildlife, nature and stuff and I actually found pretty interesting website.
Here is the link. I mean, the website is kinda ordinary, but the campaign is worth people's attention, so check this out. In Kid's corner you can find some facts about carnivores. I really like this section:)

Ted kdyz jsem ve Spojenych Statech, rozhodla jsem se zacit psat svoje prispevky taky v anglictine. Vcera jsem si hezky popovidala s kamaradem Stephenem, ktery mi navrhnul, at prelozim nektere sve povidky z cestiny do anglictiny. Vlastne mi rekl, ze na svete pravdepodobne zije vic anglicky nez cesky mluvicich lidi. Coz je tak trochu zjevne, ale do vcerejska jsem o tom zas tak moc nepremyslela.
No dobre. Momentalne si vyhledavam nejake onformace pro svuj budouci film. Snazim se najit neco o divoce zijicich zviratech, prirode a tak a nasla jsem docela zajimavou stranku (v AJ).
Tadu je link. Chci rict, samotna stranka neni nic extra, ale prezentovana kampan stoji za pozornost, takze na to kouknete. V sekci Kid's corner najdete nejake informace o selmach. Mne se to zda super:)
